Porch Covered

Just a couple of pictures today. They rebuilt the portion of the roof that shelters the porch so that it shelters the entire porch (or will once the gutters are back in place). That also gives us our posts, which will be clad with material similar to the trim board around the roof. As you can see, we got rain. It was a heavy downpour, but fortunately, it held off until around 4 PM, so it didn’t interfere too much with the work.

I guess I can take that rag off of the door which served as a reminder that exiting through the front door involved a very long step down.
